Goodbye… Shutting down Short
We tried to help people read more effectively and to keep up with their ever growing reading list. Over 10.000 people use Short and we couldn’t be more grateful for that.
Short has been a side project and bootstrapped from the beginning. It started as a final project at university and was built by two people who work remotely on the project.
Almost two years later, our team of two discussed several ways on how to move forward. Given our situation with full-time jobs and limited resources, we came to the conclusion to shut down Short. It breaks our hearts to say goodbye and we’re deeply sorry.
You can still continue to use Short in its current state until December 31, 2016. Since there won’t be any updates after this date, Pocket and Instapaper are great alternatives.
As developers of Short, we are truly thankful for every single one of you. We promise to remove all user login data once the shutdown is complete. None of your articles will be deleted from the actual channels that you connected because just served as a filter. We will never give any of our customers’ data to a third party.
Again, thank you very much for your support.
